| It was a grey rainy day today with little photo opportunities. This Kingfisher was in a tree in the neighbouring yard & the photos was taken from the kitchen doorway Despite the distance I think it was very aware of the camera What could that be on his beak? The blurriness in the foreground is from a plant growing on my fence - I like the sense of depth that it created  |

Lovely - Kingfisher are wonderful birds.
ReplyDeleteI posted a comment the other day but it seems to have disappeared. Suggested that it might be a dragonfly or other small flying insect in his beak. p.s. Maggie in my album 'Day off at Umhlanga' there is a pic of a pied kingfisher hovering over the sea. I was so stunned to see him in this setting.
