The nesting problem that I posted about on 6 October is in the process of being sorted out!! The Lesser striped Swallows have started to carry mud to close the gap at the top where the House Sparrows are entering. I do not know whether the male and female are both involved in building the mud nest, but this one has a very dirty mouth! It settled on the wall about two metres away. They are quite tame and don't seem to mind me, the camera or the flash. I will take a photo of the progress on the nest over the weekend. |
