Yesterday while I was moving the Amaryllis pots, a flower head accidentally broke off.
I stood it in a bowl with water, and this morning it was open and looking so beautiful.
The macro shots below reveal an abundance of pollen.
I have never really looked at Amaryllis stamens before, and wonder why it only has two - two that look totally different. Could it be male and female?
