This Glossy Starling certainly gives new meaning to the word "eyeballing"!
It sat high on the Sausage Tree watching my every move.

These tiny red-eyed flies love the little Verbena flowers.
The guy above calmly sucked from the flower centers, while the bottom one 'stabbed' hastily
into the flower as can be seen by the blurred mouth-parts in the photo below
