The Grey Tree Frog is also referred to as the Rain Frog.
I grew up with the belief that when the frog turns white, it is going to rain.
Tonight I read that the frog goes white to reflect the rays during spells of harsh sunlight!
What? Are you saying there is no Tooth Fairy either??

Why would this 'Grey' Tree Frog be brown?
My reasoning is that the light one above was in the plants on the front porch
where there is a certain amount of sunshine.
The brown one below was hiding in the poles in the back courtyard
under the eaves and thus gets no sun.
(This is really just my point of view but seems to be a better explanation than it needing a bath)

Can't get enough of the rain and how fresh everything is outside!
A droplet of water hanging from a tendril looks like a miniature light fitting

We had rain! Not much, but we are thankful for every drop.
While I was making coffee I noticed a colourful commotion in the plant on the fence.
Camera at hand as usual :)
I managed two photos before the subject took off.

Although the rain had stopped, this very clever little Sunbird was having a 'flap & a flurry' shower
by shaking the water droplets from the plant

A quick peak at me from behind the foliage and off it went!
