Lizards are such inquisitive creatures and always seem to hang around to see
what you're up to. Until the Schnauzers take chase!
To this I have to add that I have watched the lizards in the courtyard and have often thought that sometimes seem to tease the dogs.
What else is there to do for fun when you're a lizard?

I shall perch here & stare at the empty feeder until you put the
camera down & fetch the seed  :)

A visit to False Bay Park (part of the Isimangaliso Wetlands) is always rewarding.

It seemed that this Grey Heron was hanging his wings out to dry

A Great Egret eyes the car suspiciously

In the distance a Pelican was lazing about

This is quite a comical scene - one of those "caption this' photos
One wonders what the one on the left could possibly have done wrong to deserve the scolding

Another visit to my favourite place.
No matter how many times I come across Elephants in the park, I am always in awe!

Majestic!

Zooooooomed in on the lily and quite surprised to find a bee

This has to be a very delicious plant - for insects that is!
These photos were taken from within my car and a great deal of zooming was done,

 So many bugs....
.... with even more coming in to land!

But Mr Hair Bottomed Fly stole the scene.

This half dead Praying Mantis was hanging onto a Yucca leaf. I could not help but notice the beautiful colours and patterns of the abdomen and the underside of the folded lacy wings

My resolution for 2015: Get this blog up to date and post at least once a month!
Sorting through hundreds of photos for the updates was not an easy task, but interesting.

These first two photos were taken earlier in the year but I can't recall posting them.
I decided that they would make a good start for May
For those who are unfamiliar with Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park: Livestock on route to the Park is a major problem and one has to be extremely careful. This goat sets a perfect example of 'owning the road'

Taken on our first trip to the Park in April - 'Car Guard' at Hilltop Camp :)
