Putting my SX40's "SuperZoom" to the test! A tripod would certainly have improved the shot.
Not good at judging distance and being the outdoorsy person that I am,
I can tell you without a doubt that it was three trees away!!
The bird remains unidentified..... perhaps a juvenile Longclaw?

Another Scarab Beetle - but this one has many horns.
It was determined NOT to pose for a photo and I had to keep
picking it up to move it further back on the log that I had placed it on.
