Our little town has landed on the "Philately map"!!
This has to be the most beautiful postage stamp that I have ever seen.
More so because it celebrates the joy of creative embroidery by none other that one of our locals.

The photo below was shot at an angle to show the raised printing.
A rather shiny photo but that was the only way I could show the wonderful
texture of the beautiful raised printing
Please note the detail of the teeth and digestive tract of the elephant as well as a Zulu language lesson all thrown in for the price of a single postage stamp!
Creative African Art at its best.
You can read all about this beautiful form of art by clicking on the word Tunga Studio
We are so proud of this achievement and wish these ladies well.

Another visit to Hluhluuwe Imfolozi Park

The view @maggieztree was quite magical at sunrise!
The grass in the Park is tall and dry - reminding us that the fire season is upon us

This lonely old Buffalo had was slurping loudly from the shallow puddles on the road.

On the way to Maphumulo picnic spot we met another thirsty animal :)

Once the Elephant had finished drinking, she turned around and I managed to get a shot that has always eluded me - the right light to capture the colour of eye.
A cloud of little flies hover around most wild animals and if  you look closely
you will see the little white specks in the photo

We visited the lookout  where we saw the Crocodiles feeding on the Nyala last month
The water has receded dramatically and there were no sign of any Crocs.
