A very busy photo today, but being the first time that I managed to capture the beautiful colour of the little Blue Waxbill, I decided to post it anyway. Cute and fluffy - puffed up against the morning chill - these birds are only 12-14cm in size.
thanks Celia. The photo was taken at 11:30 and light on the little bird must have been just right where it was sitting in the shrub. They are such tiny little birds and come in amazingly beautiful colours - google Waxbills and you will see!
