Although this fly does not have an official common name, it is referred to as a Signal Fly
The above link suggests that it looks like a Buzzard and could easily be called
a Buzzard Signal Fly
These flies are said to be quite common but this is the first time in four years of insect 'shooting'
that I have seen one.
