We have planted these grasses in our indigenous garden Maggie. The birds love them and, as you say, they are so pretty. So sorry about your car. I too did something stupid about a month or so back. Reversed into a low wall at MTN La Lucia and also did quite a bit of damage. Not just the cost but the inconvenience of being without a car.
So pretty Maggie - the birds love those grasses - we have a few roads in Durban that have deliberately left on verges for the birds, i.e. Manning Road in Glenwood.
