This strange cocoon was attached to a plastered water tank.

The thorns were taken from a nearby succulent plant.

How amazing are the survival skills of a creature that we think has no brain?

How often in our daily haste do we rush past and not spend time to admire the marvels around us?

How awesome is the Creator of all these wonderful creatures?

Dog tired after playing all day.

There was no time for an outdoor photo today, so I thought a puppy update will have to do.

The puppies are 5 weeks old today and looking more like Purebred Miniature Schnauzers by the day.

Adorable little creatures with real Schnauzer attitudes, too!

The 3 girls are flying to their new homes in Cape Town, Queenstown & Vryburg in three weeks' time, while the 3 boys will be going to Durban and surrounds.

Seeing them go is not going to be easy :(

This large insect was brought to me in a container by my colleague this morning.

What I don't like about large insects is that they move so fast, making it very difficult to photograph!

I can not identify it. A Grasshopper with very large wings. perhaps? ;)
