 This photo was taken yesterday in the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park.

Zincakeni Dam is one of my favourite stops. Although the dam is not very close to the road, 

we have a good view of the thirsty visitors because we look down on it. 

While we were sitting quietly waiting for whatever to happen, I spotted birds diving into the water. 

I presumed that is was Kingfishers, but the photos identified it as Bee-eaters.

The question is - do they fish or were they having some 'clean fun'?

 Portrait Poses - Lessons from a lady 'in the know'

Keep your head up and look demure with lowered eyes & a serious expression

Then slowly lift your head, cast your eyes upwards and part your lips ever so slightly

(Try not to smile because it shows all your wrinkles)

 

This was the view @maggieztree today. Beautiful and green with grass seeds waving in the wind. Sadly there was a fire on the mountain adjacent to Mapumulo. Hopefully it was a controlled fire and did not spread because it was quite windy today.

Regular followers of this blog will know that I stop at this spot to take a photo whenever I visit the 

Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve.

We had 32mm of rain during last night and another 6 today. It has just started to rain again.

This guy was on the move - I wonder if it knows something that we don't?
